In the library in Glogovac on Friday 22nd October 2010, a lecture on Organic Production was held. It was given by Ana Pantic-Ilic, a chemist. Also, the Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises and Registered Households Nena Petronijevic, the Director of the Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises and Registered Households and Snezana Jevtic, the representative of the Network for Rural Development-the organization by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Afterwards, thee was a discussion with the people from Glogovac. All the participants were involved in the discussion. Very concrete questions about organic production were asked by the residents of Glogovac:
- how long does it take for the soil to be cleansed if it was previously treated with pesticides and other chemical substances in order to start the production of organic food
- in what ways the state stimulates the beginning of organic production
- what is the state’s recommendation when it comes to the cultivation of agricultural crops
- is there a guaranteed redemption of organic food, etc.
Many farmers found out for the first time some useful information from the representatives of the AgroLibJa project partners.
The event was assessed by the AgroLibJa team members as useful and meaningful just like in the other villages. Many questions and discussions about agriculture were initiated.
